Cimarron-Memorial won in three against the Grizzlies’ denying them their first conference victory. The Spartans hold a 12-9 record with a 4-6 conference ratio. Spring Valley has yet to collect one conference win, but has suffered 10 conference losses on their 5-25 season.
The Panthers left Faith with the 3-0 match victory collecting their 8th conference victory. They sit among the top five 4A Sunset teams at 8-2 with a season record of 19-13.
The Desert Shields came out a little battered but far from cracked against the Warriors Thursday night.
The Patriots (14-11) brought a talented team and winning record to Silverado High School Monday evening, but ultimately left winless. The Skyhawks (9-13) dismantled Liberty winning 3-0 and earning their second conference ‘W’; decisive game victories highlighted their night.
The Bulldogs (2-2) put on heavy defensive pressure practically immobilizing the Warriors (1-2) offense outside of one 2nd quarter, 80-yard screen completed by senior tight-end back Aaron Morales. They scored quickly in the first quarter on a 49-yard pass to senior running back Jayden Perkins from senior quarterback Cade Anderson (142 yards, 2 TDs). Perkins had a field day scoring three touchdowns off a total of 207 yards.
The Falcons (11-2) tussled against the Wolves (3-2) with each game being fairly close score-wise, but ultimately an experienced Foothill team stood their ground at home setting up the 3-0 victory.
The teams that faced the Gaels, Thursday, include Bonanza, Durango, Spring Valley, Sierra Vista, Clark, and Desert Oasis High School. Bishop Gorman came out on top scoring a 336 on 18 holes. Sierra Vista and Clark dropped in at second and third with a 380 and 382, respectively.
Legacy’s added another “W” to their impressive 13-2 record blanking the Spartans (9-4) at home in their three-game match to snatch a 3-0 victory.
The Aggies (5-3) played through four to defeat Desert Oasis (3-10) 3-1. They dropped the first game of the match 25-23 but dominated by double digits in the next three.
The Desert Shield (7-6) won a tight 5-game match at home against the Vikings (4-4) this evening. An explosive second game that went 29-27 in favor of the Vikings highlighted a very competitive series, but ultimately they would fall to Cheyenne 3-2.
