Lotus Broadcasting partners with Vegas Golden Knights

The Vegas Golden Knights have announced their radio broadcast partners that will air their games for the first few seasons of the expansion franchise’s history.

Bill Foley, owner of the new franchise, called into the Seat & Ed program to make the official announcement.

FOX Sports 98.9FM / 1340AM, owned and operated by Lotus Broadcasting, will be the new radio broadcast home of the Golden Knights with one game a week also airing on FOX Sports’ sister station ESPN Deportes 1460AM. The Las Vegas Sports Network is also owned and operated by Lotus Broadcasting.

The cluster of stations, which also includes ESPN 1100AM / 100.9FM and NBC Sports 920AM, is the home of UNLV Men’s Basketball and Football, as well as the Las Vegas 51’s baseball team.

Foley noted that what led him to ultimately choose FOX Sports over a number of other local bidders was their ability to reach Valley listeners as well as hockey fans in neighboring states.

An announcement naming the head coach of the Vegas Golden Knights is planned for noon tomorrow at T-Mobile Arena.
