AUDIO – Adam Hill pushes back on plagiarism charges lobbed at fellow LVRJ sportswriter

Tuesday was a trying day for the Las Vegas Review-Journal sports staff

Jesse Granger, a writer from The Athletic, claimed that an unnamed LVRJ writer copied his Tuesday story.

(@JesseGranger_) tweeted at 9:17 AM on Tue, Sep 10, 2019:
I love waking up every morning, picking up the local newspaper, and reading an attempt at a replica of my exact story with all the quotes from my interviews.
All I can say, is I promise the original is better.

For a few hours, fellow LVRJ writer Ed Graney and Granger discussed/debated the issue on Twitter.

Granger eventually apologized via Twitter around 4.p.m.

Cofield and Company’s Adam Hill wasn’t exactly satisfied with the short apology on social media.

Now in his 22nd year in sports talk radio, Steve Cofield is the voice Las Vegas turns to every afternoon. Whether it’s breaking sports stories or insightful, thought-provoking commentary, Cofield never holds back. “Did you hear what Cofield said?” is a common refrain among sports fans around the West and the leading reason why no other radio group will dare try going local with a sports show from 3-6p PT.
