Episode 42: Malcolm Subban, NHL Goalie.

The Rink Rats return to the studio. We know, it’s been a while.

First order of business, why in the heck aren’t the Golden Knights playing Malcolm Subban.

Jesse and Ryan talk about all the reasons overworking Marc-Andre Fleury now is bad, then get into how many actual games Subban may play this year. Ryan isn’t sure Subban will play at all in the month of December.

Then, the guys discuss Nate Schmidt, and why his return has led to better play from the Golden Knights.

Chanukah is discussed, and the Golden Knights are all but guaranteed to make the playoffs now that they sit in a playoff spot by the final night of Chanukah.

Paul Stastny’s imminent return means postulating how he gets reinserted into the lineup. Ryan and Jesse agree, he will be the third line center, until he becomes the second line center.

Then, Jesse gives an unofficial update on Erik Haula. Ryan wonders aloud if GMGM will be active at the trade deadline, should Haula’s rehab bleed into the latter stages of the season.
